Diabetes Personal Calculator is an all-in-one insulin calculator and carbohydrate database aimed at Type 1 Diabetics who require pre-meal fast or rapid acting insulin. The app focuses on convenience by helping users eliminate errors and guesswork when determining their pre-meal insulin dosage.

Diabetes Personal Calculator offers the following features:

<li>Record daily pre-meal blood glucose levels, meal/snack items, suggested and actual insulin doses, and Long Acting insulin doses.</li>
<li>Select food items from a generic database.</li>
<li>Adjust serving size or weight to calculate corresponding carbohydrate values for foods.</li>
<li>Calculate bolus insulin doses based on blood glucose readings, target levels, and correction factors.</li>
<li>Calculate pre-meal insulin doses based on blood glucose levels, targets, correction factors (optional), and meal carbohydrates using carbs/insulin ratio.</li>
<li>Access a demo video within the app for user guidance.</li>
</ul>

Moreover, Diabetes Personal Calculator allows users to:

<li>Create a personal database of favorite foods, brand-name items, and restaurant meals.</li>
<li>Save carbohydrate intake, consumed foods, insulin doses, blood glucose readings, and daily long-acting insulin doses in a diary that can be viewed and sent via email as reports.</li>
<li>Enter up to six different Carbs/Insulin ratios for various meal times.</li>
<li>Select blood glucose units as mg/dL or mmol/L.</li>
<li>Set target blood glucose levels and Correction Factors.</li>
<li>Calculate pre-meal insulin doses based on personal Carbs/Insulin ratios, correction factors, blood glucose levels, and meal carbohydrate amounts.</li>
<li>Calculate bolus insulin doses according to blood glucose readings and personalized Correction Factors.</li>
<li>Adjust the carbohydrate values of nearly 250 generic foods from the database based on serving size or weight.</li>
<li>Input custom pre-calculated carb values for any meal.</li>
<li>Aggregate carbohydrate values to determine total carb content for meals or snacks for accurate pre-meal insulin dosing.</li>
</ol>

Data Persistence:

The data entered for each meal remains cached until exiting the app. To save all data to the database as well as view and send reports via email, consider purchasing Diabetes Manager. It offers additional features such as an insulin calculator, carbohydrate database, favorites list, diary functionality, A1C/eAG conversion, and Bolus On Board Calculation.
